Why should you contact your customers regularly?
How often do you contact your existing clients?
If it’s less than once per month then I think you’re missing out on an untapped goldmine…
There’s some great reasons for making contacting regularly.
Firstly, you want to make sure you keep them as your customers rather than allowing them to shift to a competitor – of course it’s far cheaper to sell to existing clients than it is to find new ones.
Secondly, this is an opportunity to sell some of your complementary products to them – it never hurts to remind them of your full range as they can’t be expected to remember what you told them 6 months ago.
And thirdly, marketing and sales is all about timing. Just because someone isn’t interested in buying your product or service today, it doesn’t mean they aren’t going to be interested tomorrow – you need to ensure you’re front of mind when they are ready to buy again.
There are so many good reasons to pick up the phone to follow-up with your existing customers.
