Lots of small and medium-sized businesses are missing a simple method to increase their business with existing customers, even though the owners are likely up-sold to regularly themselves!
Take McDonald’s for example – every time you go to buy a hamburger you are always asked whether you want that as a meal. Or Dell computers – when you view a new laptop you always see an option to upgrade the specification.
The important thing to note here is that it is a standard step in their processes.
It is not left to chance. Just think about how much extra money has been earned by asking these simple questions?
The good news is that almost every business can up-sell!
The most common example is to offer a discount for increased volume. Of course, the discount must be attractive to the customer but still ensures you earn more profit.
